CCTV footage inside a garage in Port Vila shows the moment a 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit Vanuatu’s capital.

The quake, which struck at 12:47 local time (01:47 GMT) on Tuesday, triggered landslides, crushed cars and flattened multiple buildings.

Two people can be seen running away from the falling debris in the garage, while the camera also seems to pick up a dog trying to get away from danger.

There are unconfirmed reports of deaths and the full extent of the damage in Vanuatu remains unclear.
