Watch: Tornado destruction in Missouri hits residents hard

At least 40 people have died as tornadoes tore through the US Midwest and South. Residents in Bakersfield, Missouri tried to comprehend the destruction that killed 12 people in their state. Fatalities were also recorded in Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi. The severe weather came further east as parts of western Pennsylvania were hit with strong storms.
